A spiritual healer's function is to heal an individual using "non-physical" methods to heal the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies creating wholeness. We must be careful when describing a spiritual healer as someone who simply utilizes non-physical methods because one might be lead to think that someone such as a Reiki Practitioner, or psychologist is a spiritual healer because they utilize non-physical means in their work however their work does not include spiritual healing which is the hallmark of a spiritual healer, hence the name. Ultimately, the Healer is a powerful archetype that represents a universal image and set of tendencies that extend throughout time and location. A spiritual healer does not require your presence. They can heal regardless of location.
Spiritual healers often come from a lineage of healers whether physical healers like Reiki Practitioners, nurses and doctors, or mental and emotional healers like psychologists, therapists, and psychologists. There is a progression from physical, to mental, to emotional ultimately giving birth to the spiritual healer. Because these healers often begin cultivating their talents at an unusually young age, they become remarkable adepts. They are highly intuitive and in a Jungian sense, they often have "intuitive function." They are naturally empathetic and possess strong, compassionate listening skills. They are often introverted, meaning they draw energy from themselves, not others. Consequently, they have high levels of energetic sensitivities within themselves, around others, and in their environments.
Spiritual healers also have high levels of intrapersonal intelligence. They are contemplative, introspective, and reflective. All of these qualities together provide them with superior self-awareness - an essential quality of the healing arts.
